Overview
Our Free Biking Club is a 1-hour program designed for participants with moderate biking skills to practice safe riding and build confidence biking in a group setting! Participants must be able to ride independently, and one caregiver is required to attend with each participant. Participants must bring their own bike and e-bikes are not permitted. We recognize that program costs can be a barrier for some families. That's why we accept a variety of funding sources—and each year, we offer financial assistance through the Eileen Hewitt Scholarship Fund to support access to Rec2Connect programs. For more information click HERE.
- 1What's the weather policy?
These sessions are conducted outdoors and will be affected by inclement weather. At times of extreme weather (storms, heavy rain, heat, tornadoes, water conditions, etc), sessions may be cancelled. These closures will also be communicated by staff. If you are concerned about the weather forecast, please contact your instructor and cancel 24hrs in advance. - 2What should I wear/bring?
Wear comfortable athletic clothes and tennis shoes. Bring a water bottle or towel, though our Biking Club group will take breaks and have the opportunity to use a water fountain. - 3What's the cancellation policy?
This is a free program. We understand that illness and unexpected conflicts can occur. We understand that illness and unexpected conflicts can occur. Please call/text 216-487-1988 ext 1 as soon as you know you’ll miss a session. You can also email scheduling@rec2connect.org . All cancellations follow Rec2Connect’s Sick Policy. - 4Who can attend?
One caregiver is required to attend with each participant. Free Biking Club is designed for ages 10+.
