Overview

Our Inclusive Cheerleading & Spirit Squad practices will include light conditioning, learning about cheerleading, and working on multiple cheers. Participants will build confidence and team-working skills while forming new friendships! The squad will have a public performance opportunity for this session, with further cheer sessions and performances projected. This 1-hour class meets weekly for specific sessions that run in 6 or 8-week long durations.

    Who can attend?
    Our Inclusive Cheerleading and Spirit Squad welcomes participants ages 8+.

    What are the expectations for the group?
    Follow directions from group facilitator and support staff, remain in teaching area or communicate when a break is needed, manage behaviors through session with minimal redirection, Be able to participate in the duration of group without needing assistance toileting. After attending for the first time, our staff will complete a Group Expectations Checklist to determine if a participant is able to participate independently or if other supports may be needed. The Director of Programming will contact the family about next steps if needed.

    What should I wear or bring?
    Please wear proper attire such as athletic shoes and athletic clothes. Please bring a water bottle.
